Obituary for Rodney VanderBeek Rodney VanderBeek, 76, of Eddyville passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Rodney Keith VanderBeek, son of Lester and Esther Beth (Rowe) VanderBeek, was born July 27, 1942, in Baraboo, WI. He attended Oskaloosa schools and lived his entire life in the Oskaloosa-Eddyville area.

Rodney married Linda Ray Padgett, July 24, 1966, in Oskaloosa. He worked for Pella Corporation for 33 years. In his free time, he enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, and fishing.

His family includes his wife, Linda, of Eddyville, and a son, Anthony VanderBeek of Carlisle, IA. He was blessed with three grandsons: Cody, Trevor, and Tanner VanderBeek. He is also survived by three half-sisters: Angela, Donna VanderBeek, and Melody; and a half-brother, Ronald VanderBeek.

As was his wish, Rodney’s body has been cremated. No services are planned at this time. Langkamp Funeral Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with his arrangements.
