Southbridge…Rodolphe F. “Rudy” Maynard, 86, formerly of Charlton Street, and a former longtime resident of South Street, died February 28, 2019 at Southbridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. His wife of 55 years, Barbara C. (Simpson) Maynard died in October 2016. He is survived by a brother Donald Maynard of Sturbridge, and a sister Rejane “Doris” Martenstyn of Canada, and nieces and nephews.

Rudy was born in Worcester, son of Laurier and Sarah (Laroche) Maynard and has lived here most of his life. He retired from the maintenance department at the former Spectran in Sturbridge, and had previously worked as a driver at the former Dresser Hill Farm in Charlton. He was a faithful and longtime member of Notre Dame Church.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, March 8th, from 10:30-11:15AM at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550. The funeral Mass will follow at 11:30AM at Notre Dame Church, 446 Main Street, Southbridge, MA 01550. Burial will be at OakRidge Cemetery, OakRidge Avenue, Southbridge, MA 01550.
