Rogelio Fernandez Rodriguez May 12, 1934 – February 15, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book RogelioRodriguez de Fernandez, age 84, passed away at his home in West Hills, surrounded by his family on Friday, February 15, 2019. He was born on May 12, 1934 in Guadalajara, Mexico to Tiburcia and Marciano Rodriguez. Rogelio immigrated to the United States atthe young age of 15.

He worked in the fields up north for a few years before moving to Los Angeles where he began working at Irene Ceramics. There he met the love of his life, Elisa Soto, who would become his wife. Together, they raised two children, BertaAlicia and Federico.

Rogelio worked very hard and despite the loss of his right hand when he was 21, became the foreman of Irene ceramics for 20 years. He will forever be known as Tio Honey named so because honey is the only name his beloved wife ever calledhim. He is survived by his daughter, Berta Alicia, five gran-kids and one great grandchild.

There will be a viewing on Sunday, February 24th at the Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary at 10:30, followed by a rosary at 12:30. Funeral Services will be held at the Mission Hills Catholic Chapel Monday, February 25, 2019 at 11am. Internment to follow.
