OBITUARY ROGELIO GODINEZ September 16, 1936 – August 30, 2018 Godinez, Rogelio, 81, of Mesa, Arizona passed away August 30, 2018 at Banner Desert Medical Center. He was born September 16, 1936, in Havana, Cuba to Abrahan and Clara Pedraza de Godinez. He came to Miami, Florida in 1959, at age 23, where he met and married his beautiful wife Teresita.

He lived in Miami, Florida for 50 years, until his relocation to Arizona in 2009. He was employed for many years with Cordis Corporation, later Johnson & Johnson after the acquisition of Cordis Corporation. After his retirement from Cordis/Johnson & Johnson, he was employed with Dade County Schools.

He was the oldest of three siblings. He is preceded in death by wife, Teresita Ferrer Godinez and son, Alberto Godinez. Survived by daughter, Mercedes Godinez of Mesa, Arizona and son, Rafael (Lori) Godinez of Miami, Florida, grandsons, Rafael Daniel Godinez and Javier Alberto Godinez of Miami, Florida, brother, Fernando (Galuth) Godinez of Irvine, California, sister Conchita Loynaz (Maximo) of Miami, Florida, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral services are private. Interment at Woodlawn Park South.
