Obituary for Roger D. Ryan Roger D. Ryan Born April 26, 1942 passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 10, at home in Barrington Hills, IL after a long illness and a brave battle. Roger began his career as a stockbroker with Rothchild Securities, was the Director of Industrial Real Estate for L.J. Sheridan and Co, and was the founding partner and chairman of Campbell, Ryan and duPont, Ltd., Industrial Real Estate and Development. He was a native Chicagoan and graduate of Luther North High School and Lake Forest College where he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.

Roger grew up racing sailboats out of Corinthian Yacht Club at Montrose Harbor with his parents. He was a 40 year member of Chicago Yacht Club where he was active in competitive and cruising sailing as well as power boat contests. He was a ham radio operator and was involved in the Schaumburg Amateur Radio Club.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents LeRoy John Ryan and Ruth Steinberg Ryan. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Deborah Campbell Ryan and his loyal Golden Retriever, Killarney who will miss him terribly. Burial was private.
