Roger Townsend, 87, of Darien Center, NY passed away on April 24, 2019 in York, NY. He was born in Coxsackie, NY to the late Robert and the late Marion (Waldron) Townsend. Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Lois (Greenwalt) on December 17, 2005.

Roger served in the US Navy from 1949- 1953 as a Radarman. He loved to fish, hunt, boat, read books, but mostly spend time with his family. He was a mechanic with United Airlines in Buffalo for over 40 years.

He volunteered at Pine Hill Airport.
