SOMERSET—Roland Arthur Drapeau, 85 of Somerset passed away Friday, March 22, 2019. He was the husband of the late Carol (Hennessey) Drapeau. Born in Fall River, a son of the late Jean Drapeau and the late Rose (Coulombe) Drapeau; Roland attended Fall River schools and then went on to work as a truck driver and equipment operator including more than 20 years for the Massachusetts Highway Department.

He served in the US Army in the mid-1950s; and lived in Florida for 20 years after retirement. He is remembered for his antique and model car collecting. He is survived by a daughter, Susan Toomey of Somerset; a brother Donald Drapeau of Chicago; a sister Rayline Weum of Gloucester, CT; three grand children, Sarah Brasil, Tyler Dana Abreu and Christopher Toomey; as well as three great grand children Jaxson Abreu, Ryan Brasil and Leah Brasil.

Memorial calling hours will be held 5-7 PM on Thursday, March 28 in the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
