Ronald A. Ford, age 70, of Hartly, DE passed away at home, surrounded by his loved ones, on April 19, 2018. Ron was born July 30, 1947 in Cheboygan, MI, the son of Arthur and Violet Ford. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing and classic cars.

He retired from the State of Delaware, after 25 years of loyal service with Del DOT, Materials and Research, Concrete Section. He was an active member of Hartly United Methodist Church and worked behind the scenes with the Bread of Life Food Pantry. Ron is survived by his best friend and wife of almost 36 years, Joy; his children, Ronald “Buzzy” Ford, Jr. and Greta Ford; grandchildren, Kelly, Amber, Alexis, Courtney, Angel, Danni and Ronnie Kay; 6 great grandchildren; his brothers, Edward (Carla) Ford and Bill Ford and sisters, Lynda Messick (Dickie) and Beverly Gamble; nieces, nephews and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Brittney Ford. Services will be at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, April 24that Hartly United Methodist Church, 85 Main St., Hartly, DE, where friends may call, beginning at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Hartly United Methodist Church.
