Ronald D. Krueger, 80, of Wausau, passed away on July 18, 2018 at his home. He was born on May 30, 1938 in Wausau, the son of the late George and Evelyn (Moderow) Krueger. He was a lifelong Wausau resident.

Ron was a Wausau High graduate and went on to marry Sandra Marquardt on September 12, 1959 at First United Methodist Church, Wausau. Ron took over his father’s service station in his early working days. Later in life he sold the station and worked in several factories in town.

In his free time he enjoyed hunting and fishing. The family had a cottage on Lake Nokomis, where you could usually find him on the weekends, enjoying the special times with family and friends. Survivors include his children, Susan (Lee) Rye, Linda Krueger, Carla (James) Wadinski, Robert (Tracy) Krueger, Tina (Richard) Headlee, Jennifer (Lonnie) Evans, all of Wausau; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He is further survived by his siblings, Darlene (Derald) Kell, Leila Howland, Janice Normand, Judith (Daniel) Wadzinski, Thomas Krueger and Richard (Kim) Krueger. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sandra and his sisters, Diane Goetz and Carol Rhyner. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 23, 2018 at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce Street, Wausau.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park.
