Ronald Eugene “Ronnie” Hatcher II, 30, of Wardensville, WV died on Monday, January 7, 2019 at his home. Ronnie was born on September 12, 1988 at Andrews Air Force Base in Prince George’s County, MD, the son of Ronald E. Hatcher, Sr. and his wife Laura of Rock Hill, SC and Connie Sears Goldsmith and her husband Jeff of Wardensville, WV. He worked for O’Sullivan Films in Winchester, VA and was in the United State Army National Guard based out of Woodstock, VA.

Ronnie married Rita Elizabeth Carrick Hatcher on October 11, 2013 in Winchester, VA. Surviving with his wife and parents is his son: Rafe Hatcher and his step-daughter: Ava Miller both living at home; seven brothers: Thomas Hatcher of Lexington, VA; Calvin Sears of Beckley, WV; Dakota Martin of Beckley, WV; Bryant Martin of Wardensville, WV; Jeffrey Goldsmith of Mathias, WV; Christopher Goldsmith of Mathias, WV; Kaleb Hatcher of Rock Hill, SC; maternal grandparents: Archie & Brenda Sears of Beckley, WV; Paternal grandparents: Vernon & Carolyn Hatcher of Rock Hill, SC; step grandparents: Gilbert & Barbara Goldsmith of Indiana and his in-laws: Jerry & Jane Carrick of Winchester, VA.

The family will receive friends at the Loy-Giffin Funeral Home in Wardensville, WV on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 5-8 PM. A celebration of Ronnie’s life will be held at a later time.
