Ronald Eldon Shalkhauser 87, of Olmsted Falls, Ohio passed away on May 17, 2019. He was born on June 9, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Herbert and Mildred Shalkhauser. The Shalkhauser family settled in Berea, Ohio in 1941.

Ron graduated from Berea High School in 1949, served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, then graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College in 1963. Ron was self-employed and owner of Micronix, a small firm specializing in leak testing and engineering consulting. He was a member of the American Vacuum Society and the American Legion Post 91 in Berea.

The oldest of three children, Ron is survived by his sister Ellen (Sue) Grunau and brother Charles, both of Berea. Ron is survived by his sons Eric, Kurt, Judd, and Paul, and by grandchildren Amanda, Jacob, and Lucas. Donations may be made to charity of your choice.
