Ronald’s Obituary Ronald Edward Barré February 17, 1944-January 16, 2019 Ronald Edward Barré was born February 17, 1944 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to John Allen and Mary Catherine (nee Guillory) Barré and baptized at Uganda Martyrs Catholic Church. As a toddler, Ronald came to California with his family and remained here, until his passing January 17, 2019. As a young man, he met and later married Dollie Mae Broomfield.

Together they raised a family and were blessed in the joy of welcoming the second and third generations. Ronald, both a pioneer and innovative businessman, successfully operated his own business for several years before taking employment with the Rapid Transit District. After twenty-three years of service, he retired.

Generous of heart, Ronald will be remembered most for his kindness and the way he greeted the world with a sense of debonair grace. As an avid sports fan, Ronald gave unparalled support to his family, and could always be counted on as their, “Number One” fan. Family was Ronald’s bedrock, the foundation on which he based all aspects of life.

His help to others was unconditional and never more than a request away. One had only to ask, to receive it. Ronald was called home to rest in eternal peace, where he joins his parents (John and Mary), three sisters (Genevieve, Maxine and Evella Mae) and his son Anthony.

In God’s care he leaves his wife, Dollie Mae; daughters Keisha, Cherri, Debbie; sons Ronald Jr. and Donald; siblings Jim and Gwendolyn, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ronald will be deeply missed by all of his family and those who knew and loved him.
