He was born March 7, 1971 in McKeesport and was the son of Linda M. (Wigand) Sopko of Level Green and the late Ronald H. Sopko. Ron was the youngest of three children.

He was a 1989 graduate of Penn Trafford High School and then acquired his associates degree in electricity at Dean Technical Institute. Ronald loved his job as a Postman. He loved his family and his friends and his tractor and truck.

He worked hard and was deeply loved. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Jennifer (Rath) Sopko, children, Cynthia, Nathan and Allison, sisters, Cherie (Jeffrey) Knox of Greensburg and Debra (William) Noble of Jeanette, grandmother, Ida M. Wigand of Versailles, and nieces and nephews. Friends are welcome Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 10:30 am until memorial service at 11:00 am.

, at the Monroeville Assembly of God, 4561 Old William Penn Highway, Monroeville. Pastor Lance Lecocq will be officiating. Arrangements are by the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township.
