OBITUARY Ronald Gene Taylor “Hotnot” January 5, 1960 – October 1, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Ronald “Hotnot” Taylor was born January 5th 1960 in Huntsville, Texas to the late Richard K. Ashley and Dorothy Taylor. Ronnie, as he was affectionately known, was an avid basketball player, earning him the nickname “Hotnot” for his basketball talent. Ronnie always loved music.

Later he was able to showcase his love for music as a D.J. August 10th 1978, Ronnie proudly enlisted in the United States Navy. His time in the Navy was brief due to a change in his health. During the 1990’s, Ronnie faced one of his greatest challenges in life.

He was wrongly accused, convicted and incarcerated of a crime he did not commit. Ronnie lost fourteen (14) precious years of his life, patiently waiting to eventually have his name cleared. Ronnie’s long awaited day came in 2007 when he was exonerated of all charges, his name cleared and he achieved the freedom that he so richly deserved.

The same year of his release, December 30th 2007 Ronnie Taylor married Jeannette Brown. Ronnie began a new life with his new bride and new entrepreneurial opportunities. Ronnie launched a few business adventures but his most successful was R. G. Trucking, LLC.
