Ronald John Maillet June 17, 1937 – May 06, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Ronald John Maillet, 81, of Hampstead, NH passed away on Monday morning, May 6th, 2019 at Wingate at Haverhill, after a long illness. Ron was born on June 17th, 1937 in Bouctouche, New Brunswick, Canada to the late Albert J. and Melina M. (Babineau) Maillet. He grew up in Richibouctou Village and attended local schools.

Ron and his brother Leonard moved to the United States in 1959. Ron soon after met his wife, Stella Marie LeBlanc and the two were married on September 9th, 1961. He was a master diesel truck and marine mechanic and owned Ron’s Truck and Marine Service, for over 20 years.

Following his retirement, Ron and Stella lived in Florida for 15 years and traveled He had a lifelong love of the ocean and was a boater for most of his life. Ron was known for a nice lobster and a crown royal. He was also a huge Montreal hockey fan.

Ron is survived by his wife and best friend of 57 years, Stella Marie (LeBlanc) Maillet of Hampstead, NH; his children, Norman Maillet and his wife Leona of Haverhill, MA, Bernice Eldredge of Falmouth, MA, Angela DiEoreo and her husband Edward of Hudson, NH, Laura Maillet of Windham, and Ronald Maillet, Jr. of Marlboro, MA; his thirteen grandchildren, Norman Jr, Daniel, Michael, Steven, Danielle, Olivia, David, Ryan, Vanessa, Sarah, Nicholas, Matthew, and Alissa; his three step-grandchildren, Jennifer, Melissa, and Michael; fourteen great-grandchildren; his siblings, Albertine Melanson, Leonard Maillet, Claudette Cormier, Roberta Maillet, Henrietta MacDonald and her husband Gary, and John Paul Maillet and his wife Rose Marie; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Ron was predeceased by two of his brothers, Archil and Gilbert (Eudore) Maillet. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 9th, 2019 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday morning, at 12pm at St. Matthew’s Parish, 2 Searles Road, Windham, NH. Interment will take place at 10:00am on Saturday morning at the Cemetery on the Plains in Windham. Arrangements are in the care of the Carrier Family Funeral Home.
