A Mass of Christian burial for Ronald “Bago” J. Lombardo will be held10:30 AM, Monday, November 26th, 2018 at St. Mary Church 242 North State St. Painesville. Family and friends received Sunday, 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville. Ron was born February 1st, 1954, in Painesville, to Paul S. and Joyce (Fleming) Lombardo.
He passed away peacefully November 20th, 2018 in Painesville surrounded by family and friends. He was a 1972 graduate of Harvey High School, served in the merchant Marine on the William G Mather sailing on the Great Lakes and then was employed at Lubrizol as a chemical operator for 30 years and was a firefighter for the Lubrizol Fire Department, retiring in 2009. Ron enjoyed sports of all kinds; both local and professional.
Most important was his love of family especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter; Marie (Ryan) Cipolletta; son, Mario (Stephanie) Lombardo; grandchildren, Luke and Logan; sister, Paula Yranian; niece, Joyce Lucy; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; grand dogs, Lilly and Ruger. Ron was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 33 years Laura; and daughter, Michelle Lombardo.
