Obituary for Ronald L. Good Print Ronald Lee Good, aged 68 of Hamburg, passed away on Saturday, February 9, leaving this earth embracing the promises of God which he believed and preached for many decades. The son of Lester Eugene (deceased) and Ruth Henrietta (née Dennis) Good of Mohrsville, he was born November 14, 1950, in Ephrata, PA. An avid outdoorsman and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, pastor, and friend, he was known for his sense of humor, strong work ethic, and willingness to put others before himself.

His ambition in all things was that Jesus Christ would be glorified. A 1985 graduate of Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, TX, he pastored DOVE Christian Fellowship North Gate in Hamburg from 1998 until his retirement in 2018. Prior to entering pastoral ministry, he worked alongside his family-by-marriage for many years at Bender’s Bakery, a well-remembered hallmark of the community.

Now reunited in heaven with his daughter Victoria, he is survived by his wife of 47 years, Martha Graeff (née Bender) Good, children Jennifer (wife of Jim Shade) of Hamburg, Timothy (husband of Tina) of Perkasie, Jonathan (husband of Pamela) of East Greenville, and Carolyn (wife of Matthew Pandel) of Woodstock, VA, as well as his much loved grandchildren: Elizabeth, Seth, Logan, Karlie, Gabriel, and Nathaniel, and two step-grandsons: Isaac and Ben. He was preceded in death by his brother L. Eugene and is survived by siblings Darlene (wife of Donald Mast), Ruth Ann Kraatz, Karen (wife of Glen Graeff), Barry (husband of Barbara), Brian (husband of Deborah), and Dawn (wife of David Weiss). The visitation will be held 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM on Wednesday, February 13, at Burkey and Driscoll Funeral Home (40 S. Fourth St., Hamburg).

On Thursday, February 14, there will be a visitation at 10:00 AM at DOVE Christian Fellowship North Gate (31 N. Third St., Hamburg) with a Celebration of Life following at 11:00 AM, officiated by Pastor Jim Shade. The burial will be held immediately thereafter, officiated by Dr. Matthew Pandel, at Mohrsville Church of the Brethren’s Viewpoint Cemetery (1542 Shoey Rd. , Mohrsville).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to DOVE Christian Fellowship North Gate. Online condolences may be expressed at www. burkeydriscoll.com.
