OBITUARY Ronald Rezendes June 26, 1950 – January 2, 2019 Ronald W. Rezendes, 68, of Fairhaven passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 2, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Dolores (DeGouveia) Rezendes. Born in Acushnet, a son of the late Donald L. and Irene (Benoit) Rezendes he was a lifelong area resident and a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, Fairhaven.

Ron proudly served 33 years as an officer for the Bristol County Sherrif’s Department. He was a familiar face of the Fairhaven Carwash, where many came to enjoy washing their car and chatting with Ron. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Ryan Rezendes and his wife Meghan of Acushnet; a daughter, Lindsay Rezendes Arsenault of Fairhaven; one sister, Donna Mills and her husband Jay of Daytona Beach, FL; a brother, Robert W. Rezendes; four grandchildren, Liam, Levi, Hayden, and Bayleigh; and several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Donald R. Rezendes. His services incomplete at this time and are in the care of WARING-SULLIVAN HOME at FAIRLAWN, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven, MA 02719. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Shriners Hospitals, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114 or do a good deed in his memory.
