George “Ron” Sweat, 71 of East Springfield, Ohio passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019 after fighting a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Ron was one of seven children to the late Malcolm and Sarah (Chetok) Sweat. He was preceded in death by three brothers Lee, Ralph and Jack Sweat; a sister, Wanda Schoonover.

Ron was the loving husband of Darlene (Tulodzieski) Sweat, father of Corey (Lauren) Sweat and grandfather of Colson Sweat. His two surviving siblings are Judy (Donald) “Dee” Griffith and Mike (Tina) Sweat. Ron was an avid golfer his entire life.

He enjoyed all sporting activities, his carpentry projects , but his most enjoyment came from his family. He was a devoted family man. Ron served his country honorably in the US Army, during the Vietnam War.

He retired from Weirton Steel in 1992, then owned/ operated Tee Bones Restaurant in East Springfield, Ohio for 14 years. Ron will be remembered by family and friends as generous, quick witted and caring. He is the one that could keep the laughter continuing in the room.

There will be no visitation. As per Ron’s wishes, cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Everhart-Bove Funeral Homes, Richmond. Send condolences online at www.
