Obituary of Ronald Murry Ronald Dean Murry, 77, of Columbus Junction passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018. He was born on March 17, 1941 in Osceola, Iowa, the son of Earl and Frances (Thompson) Murry. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Tracy; one son, Ronald II, brothers, Gerald and Dennis, and his sisters, Lula, Jean, and Bonnie.

He was our dad, our grandpa, and our rock! He cared and defended our family like a king defends his country! There has never been nor ever will be a harder working man than our dad.

He lived a life of integrity and generosity. We watched the proudest, strongest man we will ever know fight to the end. His fight was real because his love for our mom was real!

Our dad and mom share the most amazing love story only few people in the world could begin to understand. He never confessed of being a spiritual man, but he lived a life of Christ by his giving and caring for others. He ensured the people around him felt safe and taken care of.

Rough around the edges, but a gem on the inside! Our mom, Martha, will continue her journey on earth with the support of Teresa (Randy), Mindy (James), and Wendy, as well, as eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. As he leaves this world of pain and all those that love him on earth, we absolutely know that Jesus will say, “Welcome home, Ron!

We’ve been waiting. We’re so happy you are here! ” A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at the American Legion in Columbus Junction on Saturday, July 14thbetween 11:00-2:00 pm.

The Stacy-Lewis Funeral and Cremation Service of Columbus Junction is caring for Ron’s arrangements. Stories of Ron can be left for the family at www. lewisfuneralhomes.com.

A memorial in support for the Louisa County Ambulance will be established.
