Rondal Finley Johnson January 20, 1948 – April 29, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book Yadkinville Mr. Rondal Finley Johnson, 71, passed away Monday, April 29, 2019 at his home. Mr. Johnson was born January 20, 1948 in Surry County to Richard Finley Johnson and Ozelle Hutchens Ball. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps, having served for 13 years, and served in the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by a son, Mark Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Drema Franklin Johnson; five children, Ronnie Joe (Angela) Johnson, Todd (Tammie) Phipps, Kendra (Anthony) Gregory, Kenan (Nicole) Johnson, and Kandice Johnson (Michael); twenty grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Gentry Family Chapel with Pastor Bob Edwards officiating.

Burial will follow at Asbury UMC Cemetery with full military honors provided by the US Marine Corps Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. The family requests no flowers be sent, but memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
