Ronnie Od Knight, October 06, 1958 — October 10, 2018

Obituary for Mr. Ronnie O.D. Knight Ronnie O.D. Knight was born to the late Queen Esther Knight and O. D. Knight in Pitt County on October 6, 1958. He departed from those known to him on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC. Ronnie was a 1976 graduate of North Pitt High School and did some schooling at Martin Community College, NC.

He retired from Burroughs Wellcome/Glaxo SmithKline as a Pharmaceutical Production Mechanic. Ronnie loved to Grill, Joke, the Outdoors, and he enjoyed sports. He was often associated as being “SUPERMAN/ MAN OF STEEL” from the tattoo on his arm.

Ronnie utilized every opportunity to remind someone that he could do what wasn’t easy for them to do because he was the “MAN OF STEEL”. He was very active prior to enduring some health issues. Ronnie did not complain about his health issues or the pain that was associated with the issues.

When he was able to consume a lot of food from the restaurant, he would sometimes do Take Outs. He would bring Extras home and say that all he had to do was “show them that GOLD tooth”, therefore, he didn’t have to pay for the EXTRA…. other times when he would say he needed something, he was then TOLD to “show the GOLD tooth”.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother, Queen E. Knight; father, O.D. Knight; sister, Sophia E. Knight; brother, Ernest E. Knight. The memories of Ronnie will be with those that knew him, his wife, Loretta; daughter, Jernay; two brothers, William J. Knight (Helen), Carl E. Knight (Angela) of Greenville, NC; his aunts, Mamie S.
