Ronnie Ray Turner Jr. “Ray,” passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 28th, 2019 in his hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Ray was born in Fayetteville on May 22, 1985 to Ronnie and Angela. The early days of school for Ray were spent at Armstrong Elementary, he went on to Mac Williams Middle, and his last stop was Cape Fear High.

He was a mechanic and an avid outdoorsman, and if he was not working for his Uncle David, you could find him tearing up the dirt roads in Eastover; there was no denying this country boy’s roots were dug deep in the Eastover soil. His contagious smile would infect everyone he came across, and he found a way to light up every room that he walked into. Ray definitely had a passion for music and crazy dancing.

If one were to describe him in a few words they could say that “Big Country” lived his life to the fullest, and always knew how to keep people laughing. Ray was preceded by his paternal grandparents Bill & Jeanette Turner, and maternal grandparents David & Attie Mae Soles. Ray is survived by his father Ronnie Ray Turner Sr, his mother and step-father Angela Turner Gardner and Robert Gardner.

His two beautiful daughters Chloe & Raylen Turner. Loving sister and best friend Tabitha Williams, his brother-in-law Nick Williams. Little brother Brandon Turner, and sister-in-law Jackie Turner.

Lifelong family friends Esther and her daughters Sophia and Madelin Pena. Three nephews, Jamison & Miken Williams, and Eason Turner; and one precious niece, Kenley Turner. Uncles and Aunts David & Jill Soles, Paul & Regina Turner, and Vern & Jean Hubbard, along with his many cousins, and his Memaw, “The Ninja” Carol Gardner.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Service from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. with the committal following at Allen Cemetery in Dublin, NC.
