WHITE, Roosevelt L., born to the late Margaret White on November 5th in Birmingham, AL, departed this life May 30, 2018. At an early age he gave his life to Christ while attending Mt. Ararat Missionary Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL.

At the age of 18, he moved to Dayton, OH and spent the remainder of his adult life with his aunt, the late Louise Moffett. He was employed by and retired from McCall’s and The Barnsider. He was passionate about the Word of God and was a former member of Mt.

Enon Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a member of the Inspirational Choir. Preceding him in death, his mother, Margaret White; grandmother, Lillian Threats; sister, Jewel Maxwell; niece, Tynetta Jackson. He leaves to cherish his memory, his sisters, Verdia Williams (Detroit, MI), Gina White (Atlanta, GA); first cousin and caregiver, Teresa Willoughby (Dayton, OH), first cousin, Cynthia G. Moffett (Columbus, OH); family matriarchs: aunt, Dorothy Fair (Birmingham, AL) and cousin, Dr. Constance Nealey (Atlanta, GA); nephews, Terrance Williams (Detroit, MI), Benny Dallas (Sharon), Fayetteville, SC, Damon Maxwell (Detroit, MI), Jordan and Jonathan Jackson (Detroit, MI); best friend, Alton “Red” Hall (Dayton, OH); a multitude of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service 11 am Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Visitation 9 am at the funeral home until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
