OBITUARY Roque R. Noriega April 14, 1947 – September 19, 2018 Nacido el 14 de abril de 1947, Roque falleció el miércoles 19 de septiembre en Yuma, Arizona. Roque, hijo de Ramon y María Consuelo Noriega, nació en Aribabi, Sonora, Mexico. Era el tercer hijo de diez que pasó la mayor parte de su infacia en San Luis, Sonora y Somerton, Arizona.

Roque asistió a Kofa High School, pero se graduó de la escuela de la vida. Sirvió en el ejército de los Estados Unidos de 1968 a 1970 y se convirtió en ciudadano estadounidense naturalizado poco después. Se casó con el amor de su vida, Elizabeth Duarte Noriega, en 1971 y tuvo tres hijos.

Born April 14, 1947, Roque passed from this life on Wednesday, September 19th in Yuma, Arizona. Roque, son of Ramon and Maria Consuelo Noriega, was born in Aribabi, Sonora, Mexico. He was the third born of ten children who spent most of his childhood in San Luis, Sonora and Somerton, Arizona.

Roque attended Kofa High School, but graduated from the school of life. He served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1970 and became a naturalized U.S. citizen shortly thereafter. He married the love of his life, Elizabeth Duarte Noriega, in 1971 and had three children.

He believed in the notion that a person can be anything they want to be if they are willing to work hard to accomplish their dream, and a farm laborer, a field foreman, a supervisor, and eventually as a field labor contractor and owner of Sunrise Harvesting. He was a restless individual who loved to work around the house, to travel, and to go to car races, but also took time to enjoy classic cars and nature, especially his beloved El Golfo, a place that was always very special to him. Surviving him are his wife, Elizabeth Noriega; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Cliff Romero; son and daughter-in-law, Adolfo and Ana Noriega; son and daughter-in-law, Ramon and Aida Noriega; grandchildren, Carlee and Alec Romero, Destiny, Adrienne and Annette Noriega, Dorian and Nadia Noriega; and great grandchildren, Cherokee and Melodie, as well as his nine siblings and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Our father was the most influential person in our lives and he will be missed. We want to express our gratitude to family and friends for the support you have offered during this difficult time. Your memories and kind words of our father have meant so much and have truly touched our hearts.
