Rosalie M. Squicciarini, 82, died Thursday, February 7, 2019, Woodmere, NY. Wife of John Squicciarini, loving mother of Carol, Nick, and Kelli (daughter-in-law). Loving Grandmother of John, Nicky, James, Nina, & Juliette.

Loving sister of Robert. Loving cousin of Adele, Sandra, and Bill. Rosalie was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY.

She was an Executive at Vitamaster till her retirement in 1999. Rosalie met John on a blind date. They fell in love and wed after he served in the Navy.

Rosalie and John recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. After retirement, Rosalie and John helped raise their granddaughters, Nina & Juliette from 3 months of age. Her son and daughter-in-law returned to work after the girls were born.

Rosalie was so loving and so very special to her granddaughters. She read and played puzzles with the girls each and everyday. She’d take them to the park to play and to the zoo to feed the animals.

At nap time she’d hold her granddaughters and rock them to sleep. When the girls were of school age, Rosalie would take the girls to and from school. When her granddaughters were sick, she gave them the special love and attention a mother would give to her own children.

She gave them their medicine, made their favorite foods and took them to the doctor when needed. She was without a doubt the girl’s second mother. She was the world’s greatest mother and grandmother.

Losing Rosalie is to lose your best friend. She was dynamic, classy, interesting and current. She loved reading and had enough books to fill two home libraries.

You could sit with her for hours talking about everything and nothing. She was such a gem and truly a special person. Everyone loved Rosalie.

She was honestly the kindest, sweetest and most loving person you would have the pleasure of knowing. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. Every heart she has touched will miss her.
