Obituary for Rosario “Sariddu” Candela Print CANDELA –Rosario “Sariddu” Candela, age 85, of Comstock Park, went to be with his Lord after a long illness on Thursday, January 31, 2019. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Angela Pizzo; his children, Salvatore (Lucrezia) Giuseppe (Barb) and Anna (Domenico); ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers; many nieces and nephews. Rosario was preceded in death by his brother, Giuseppe.
He was born in Italy on February 9, 1933, and in March of 1980 he came to America. Rosario was founder and owner of Angela’s Pizza and Italian Restaurant in Sparta since 1983. The family will receive family and friends at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and one hour prior to the Mass on Tuesday.
A Rosary Service will be held on Monday at 8:30 p.m., at the funeral home, with Deacon Jerry Roersma as celebrant. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1200 Alpine Church Road, Comstock Park, MI. , at 11:00 a.m., with Rev.
Father Thomas Simons officiating.
