Rose Elizabeth Sheekey (Bove), age 84, of Spring Hill, Florida passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019. Born in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY and lived in Glendale, NY for over 40 years. Rose worked as a medical secretary for Dr. Rio Sferazza for 20 years where she was loved by all.

She was the daughter of the late Marino and Lucrezia (Lastella) Bove. Rose was completely devoted to her husband and family. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert (Bob) Sheekey, her children, Lynn Neidhardt and Richard Cleary, Steven and his wife, Barbara Sheekey and Brian and his wife, Sally Sheekey.

She also leaves five cherished grandchildren, one adored great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her siblings Frank and Charles. Rose most enjoyed spending time with her devoted husband as well as playing golf and bocce.

Viewing hours will be Wednesday March 13, 2019 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Downing Funeral home located at 1214 Wendy Court in Spring Hill. The funeral mass will be said Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 10: 30 am at St. Theresa RC Church, Spring Hill. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.

Rose ’s family is most grateful for the loving care and compassion provided by the staff at Crown Pointe Senior Living and HPH Hospice.
