Obituary for Rose Fabbri Shellabarger Rose Fabbri Shellabarger was born on June 15, 1933 to Eugenio and Leonilda Fabbri. When Rose was eight years old her father passed away. Later, her mother remarried Ernesto Morgantini, he was the only father she ever knew.
Rose attended St. Peter’s grade school and graduated from St. Peter’s high school in 1951. After graduation, she went to Spokane WA and attended Kinman Business University where she graduated with a degree in Secretarial Science. While in Spokane, she met the love of her life John Hafner Shellabarger.
They were married on January 3, 1953 in St. Peter’s Church. To the couple were born four daughters; Debbie, Linda, Nilda (Tink) and a baby girl that was not long for this world. Rose and John made their home in Anaconda and were happily married for 40 years.
Rose was a member of the Anaconda Catholic Community, Elks Club and Women’s Carpenters Auxiliary. Rose enjoyed, traveling, crocheting, crafts and playing pinochle at the Sr. Citizens Center where she made many good friends. Rose started her day by sharing a pot of coffee with Tink, followed by a conversation with Debbie and finished up by playing nickels with Linda.
She also took care of her three grandsons from the time they were born until they graduated high school. The four of them could be seen driving around in the Black Ford pickup at all hours of the day. She was a kind soul, loving mother, grandmother and “GG Rose”.
Rose was proceeded in death by her husband, mother, father, step-father and infant daughter. Also by her in-laws John and Elva Shellabarger. She is survived by her daughters Debbie (Chuck) Barth, Linda (Dennis) Keele, Nilda (Max) Zacher.
Grandchildren Michelle (Andy) Dailing, Michael (Jennifer) Barth, Nick (Britney) Zacher, Chris Zacher (Seanna Schulte) and Johnny (Brooke) Keele. Also surviving are her great grandchildren Ruby & Lola Dailing, Carson Keele and baby sister Keele on the way. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Anaconda.
There will be one hour of visitation prior to the services at the church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Anaconda Pintler Hospice, 118 E. 7th St., Ste.
