Roseann T. (Maloni) Basile, 75, passed away Monday, December 3, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford surrounded by her loving family. Born in Springfield, April 16, 1943, she was the daughter of the late John and Statia (Schofsky) Maloni. She owned and operated Roseann’s Concessions with her husband Jim for many years traveling New England to various fairs and expositions specializing in her wonderful corn dogs.

Roseann was a communicant of St. Catherine of Sienna Church, a member of the Eastern Star, a life member of IISA and was the President of the Middlefield Fair. She leaves her beloved husband of 56 years, James F. Basile, her loving children, Christopher and his wife Maureen of W. Springfield, James A. and his wife Laurie of W. Springfield and Deborah Katsanos and her husband Richard of Portsmouth, NH, her siblings, John Maloni Jr. of Springfield and Linda Niquette of Wilbraham, her loving grandchildren, Corey and his wife Michelle, Brandon, Leo, Logan, Lydia and her beloved great granddaughters, Makenna and Keiara and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Emedio.

The funeral will be held Monday at 10:30AM from the TOOMEY-OBRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield St., W. Springfield with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:30AM from St. Catherine of Sienna Church in Springfield with burial to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 4-7PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children 516 Carew St Springfield, MA 01104.
