Rosemary Erman Noonan February 3, 2019 passed away peacefully on February 3, 2019, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on June 13, 1924, graduated from St. Teresa’s High School in Kansas City and received her B.S. in Dietetics from Fontbonne University, after which she interned at Walter Reed Medical Center in 1946. She married her beloved husband, Robert George Erman in 1949, and began her career at Missouri Baptist Hospital, later at St. Vincent’s Hospital, and then as Director of Dietetic Services at St. Louis State Hospital.

Rosemary was active in the Missouri Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, including serving as president. After leaving St. Louis State Hospital, she was appointed State Auditor for Dietetics, a position she continued until her retirement. She was a lifelong member of the American Dietetic Association.

Rosemary and Bob were together 34 years until she lost him to cancer in 1983. After several years of retirement and always ready for a new adventure, Rosemary and her dear friend (and later her beloved second husband) James E. Noonan traveled widely and shared the love of their many children and friends. Jim succumbed to cancer in 2009.

Rosemary was dearly loved by her children, by whom she is survived: David (Susan) of Nashville, Tennessee, Thomas (Cheryl) of St. Louis, Timothy (Janine) of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Daniel (Beth) of St. Louis, as well as her grandchildren Molly Erman Falls (Derek), Genevieve Erman, Katie Erman Fitzgerald (Kevin), Marilyn Rose Erman, Michael Erman and Matthew (Heather) Erman, and her stepchildren Anne Noonan Niesen (Tom), Margaret Noonan Taylor (Michael) , Kitty Noonan Burskewitz (Jim), Michael (Rhonda) Noonan, Marty (Kim) Noonan and Dan (Kimberly) Noonan, nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren and loving friends of all ages. Many thanks to her dear companions who have shared in her care the past few years, especially Carey, Amanda, Lisa, Joanna, Zighe, Emily and Genevieve. Services: A Memorial Celebration Mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, 7316 Balson Avenue, University City, Missouri, on February 23, 2019.

Visitation at the Church will be from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by Mass at 10:30. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Christ the King Catholic Church Building Fund, Fontbonne University, or a charity of your choice.
