Rosemary Mahala, age 64, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, March 1, 2019. She was born on July 27, 1954 in Wilmington, DE to the late Jennie and Angelo Pingitore, Sr. Rosemary is survived by her husband Benjamin Mahala, Jr.; son Benjamin Mahala, III (Candace); daughter Lisa Worman (Eric); and grandson Matthew Worman. She is also survived by brothers Joseph Pingitore (Phyllis), James Pingitore (Charlene); and sisters Jacqueline Forlino (Jay), Terri Wade (Danny) and Linda Govatos (Nicholas).

She leaves behind her loving nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends. She is preceded in death by her step mother Lois Pingitore; brothers Angelo Pingitore, Jr., Michael Pingitore (Lora); and sisters Marie Latimer and Josephine Parsons (Dave). Rosemary was a registered nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware for 35 years until she retired in 2016.

She had constant dedication, passion and devotion for the patients and families for whom she cared. She mentored many and inspired them to care deeply and to always show kindness and compassion. Rosemary was described by many as an angel on Earth.

She always found the good in anyone and never had anything negative to say. Her beautiful smile was contagious and everyone felt loved in her presence. She was a woman of faith, grace and love.

A visitation will be held at the Ashcraft Funeral Home located at 740 South Broadway in Pennsville, NJ on Wednesday March 6 from 7pm to 9pm. A Funeral Mass will follow on ¬ Thursday March 7 at 10am at St. Gabriel the Archangel / Corpus Christi Church located at 369 Georgetown Rd. , Penns Grove, NJ 08069.
