Roy Anthony Cartier passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the age of 86. He was born in New Orleans, LA to the late Lucy Ann Marin Cartier and Simeon Pierre Cartier. Roy was married to his beloved wife, the late Ellen McCune Cartier, for 60 years.

He was the loving father of James L. Cartier (Michelle), Ronald D. Cartier, Patricia C. Raborn (Dean), Colleen A. Cartier, Daniel A. Cartier, and Randall M. Cartier. Roy will be dearly missed by his seventeen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Philip Cartier, Carol Schexnayder and Allan Cartier.

He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte St., Mandeville, LA 70448 on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 12:00 noon with visitation at church on Monday beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Mandeville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Roy to be made to Little Sisters of the Poor www. littlesistersofthepoor.org St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www. stjude.org .
