Roy D. Fister, 77, went home to be with the Lord on November 21, 2018. He was born in Barberton, Ohio on November 11, 1941, to the late Peter and Leona Fister. Roy served in the United States Air Force and was the owner and operator of LDF Construction in Akron.

He resided in Kennesaw, Georgia and attended Community Bible Church in Kennesaw, GA. Roy is survived by his brothers, John, Robert and Tom (Sue) Fister; niece, Melissa Blamble Sherry; nephews, Andrew, Matthew, Jonathan, Joseph, Daniel; and many great-nieces, nephews, and many cousins. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and doctors at the Hospice Care Center in Copley for their love and care of Roy.

Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Rd. , Norton on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m.. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Brad Horner officiating.

Burial will take place at 12:30 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lakeside Christian Church/Mission Fund, 3535 Knollwood Ln. , Akron, OH 44333, in memory of Roy.
