OBITUARY Roy Delmar McDaniel July 16, 1926 – December 24, 2018 Roy Delmar McDaniel, 92, of Loraine, passed away peacefully in Tomball Texas on Monday, December 24, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was born to Roy Herman and Bernice Lee Rone McDaniel in Cottonwood Texas on July 16, 1926. Delmar was a hard-working man who served his country proud in the U.S. Army Air Corp before coming back home to farm cotton and raise a family.

He loved his family with everything he had. He was a man of few words, so when he spoke it was words of wisdom. He was from a generation where a man’s word was his bond and he kept his word, and he knew how to look on the bright side for anything life threw his way.

In short he lived life his way. Delmar is survived by his children Mike McDaniel and wife Stephanie of Magnolia and Cindy McDaniel of Loraine. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jana Wilks and husband Donald of San Antonio, Dean McDaniel and wife Jennifer of Hallsville, and Drew McDaniel of Houston Texas, by great-grandchildren Jade Higgins, Cole Wilks, Cara Wilks, Isaiah McDaniel, Blakely McDaniel, , and Owen McDaniel, by one great-great-granddaughter Berkli Higgins; and by a sister-in-law Shirley Preston Graham of Loraine.

Several nieces, nephews, and dear friends are also left to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Eloise Preston McDaniel in 2013, by a son Roy Mark McDaniel in 2014, by his parents, and by a brother Rex McDaniel. A graveside service for Delmar will be held on Monday, December 31st at 2pm at the Loraine Cemetery.

Friends are invited to come to Kiker Seale Funeral Home on Monday up until 12:30 pm and on Sunday from 1-5 pm to visit with Delmar and sign the book. In lieu of flowers please consider a contribution to your favorite charity in his name. Those wishing may share a memory by visiting www.
