Roy Lee Martin, 84 of Kingwood died Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Pine Ridge with loving family by his side. He was born April 22, 1935, in Fellowsville, a son of the late Dell and Hazel Martin. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend.

He was a laborer and employed at J W Ruby Turkey Farm. He enjoyed horseshoes, watching wrestling, lottery tickets and just sitting on his porch. Roy was a loveable man loved by everyone especially his daughter, Kathy Collins, son in-law Tom Collins and his two grandsons, Brian Collins and wife Caroline and Cody Collins and wife, Brooklyn, who loved him very much.

He is also survived by his step son, Donald Dalton, his daughter, Pamela Murray and husband, Bernie all of Morgantown; a brother, David Martin of Gladesville, a sister, Joy Eagle of Fellowsville seven other grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Iris Louise Haught Martin, three brothers, his sister, two step sons, a grandson and great grandson. The family will receive friends at Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood on Friday, May 24, 2019 from 11 am – 1pm the funeral hour with Ray Frankhouser officiating.

Interment will follow at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. The Family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Pine Ridge Nursing Home and WV Caring for the great job they did. Donation may be sent to Browning Funeral Home at PO Box 1000 Kingwood, WV 26537 to help with funeral expense.
