DUNSON, Sr., Ruben A., born December 31, 1939 in Tallapoosa, GA to Frank and Nannie Grace Dunson, departed this life July 23, 2018. Ruben was a faithful member of Corinthian Baptist Church where he served in the Male Chorus & Mass Choir for many years. He retired from General Motors.

He proudly served his country as an Army PFC E3. Preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters. He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted and loving wife of 56 years, Minnie Dunson; sons, Victor E. Dunson, Ruben A. Dunson Jr.; sister, Ruth Moreland; brother, Samuel L. (Herliner) Dunson; brothers-in-law, Charles (Gail) Smith, Robert Almon, Irvin (Hazel), Richard (Debbie) and Colbert Jr. Smith; sisters-in-law, Emma (William) Harris, Annette (Claude) Boykin, Ruby Mitchell; a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Service 11 am Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Corinthian Baptist Church, 700 S. James H. McGee Blvd. Eulogist, Rev. Dr. P.E. Henderson Jr., Pastor.

Visitation 9-11 am. Family will receive friends 10-11 am. Interment Dayton National Cemetery.
