Mrs. Rubie Yon Davis Jones “Big Mama” celebrated 101 years of age on earth on October 5, 2017. However, on May 8, 2018, her time on this earth ended. Mrs. Jones was born, raised, and lived in Blountstown, Florida, but has been residing with her grand-daughter, Myra, and grandson in-law, Cleveland, since 2008 in Newport News, Virginia.

Family left to cherish her memory are granddaughter, Myra (Cleveland) Corbin; grandson, James (Deanna) Thomas, Jr.; and grandson, Bruce (Diane) Green; her loving great grandchildren Janiyah Ruby Thomas, Kwani (Keith) Woods, Charina (Leo) Marlowe, Nicholas Green, and Ryan Green. Mrs. Jones will return to her hometown in Florida to join her loved ones in the family’s final resting place. A family viewing and visitation will be held from noon until 5:00p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church 1415 Big Bethel Rd.

It is the desire of the Jones family that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
