OBITUARY Ruby “Fran” Frances Rockett April 18, 1948 – February 2, 2019 HICKORY— Ruby “Fran” Frances Rockett, 70, of Hickory passed away at Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Carolina Caring after a brief illness. Born in Catawba County on April 18, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Clinton Alva and Ruby Lail Rockett. Fran was a graduate of Lenoir Rhyne College, she worked at First National Bank, and at Jerry McIntosh accounting.

She had recently retired from Shurtape, after 40 years of service. Fran was also a member of Fairgrove Methodist Church. She is survived by her sister Mickie Pope and husband Bob of Hickory; brother Larry Rockett and wife Martha of Hickory; nephews, Bobby Pope and wife Elizabeth of Hilton Head, SC, Wes Pope and wife Beth of Hickory, Scott Rockett of Maiden and Ashton Rockett of Concord.

Private graveside service will be held with burial at Catawba Memorial Park with Reverend Earnest Richards officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or Humane Society of Catawba County, PO Box 63, Hickory, NC 28603. Arrangements are with Hickory Funeral Home.
