Ruby I. Swank of Troy, age 92, passed away on November 30, 2018. She was born on June 2, 1926 to the late Carl and Francis (Compton) McCowen in West Milton, Ohio. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband Harold M. Swank, daughter-in-law Karen Copp Swank, and brother Donald McCowen.

She is survived by her loving children C. Stephen (Gayle) Swank of Fayetteville, WV, Monte Swank of Troy, and James (Becky) Swank of Midwest City, OK; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and sister Mary Lou Miller of Canada. Ruby was a member of the Nashville United Church of Christ. She enjoyed being a homemaker, especially cake baking and decorating.

The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 PM on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton, with a memorial service beginning at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nashville United Church of Christ or Hospice of Miami County. Memories and condolences may be left for the family online at www.
