Ruby Yvonne Benitez March 19, 1992 ~ April 26, 2019 Ruby Yvonne Benitez, 27, passed away unexpectedly on April 26, 2019, in Murray, Utah. Born on March 19, 1992 in Phoenix, Arizona, to Catalino Benitez and Lina Najera; she married David Cazares, the love of her life, on February 5, 2011, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ogden, Utah. David and Ruby have two beautiful children, Leo (5) and Leilani (3).

Ruby is survived by her husband, children, father, mother, two brothers Rogelio and Hector Benitez, and her dearest grandmother Ernestina Ponce. Ruby moved from Arizona to Ogden, Utah, where she graduated from Two Rivers High School. Ruby was an adoring and devoted mother.

Her greatest joys were telling bedtime stories to her children and making singing videos so she could share her beautiful voice, and love of music, with others. Ruby was a fashionable dresser who loved jewelry, travel, dogs, and seafood. She was a strong-willed, kind-hearted, and passionate woman who easily and often showed love for her family and friends.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 4 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 514 24th St, Ogden. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. with Rosary at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. The family will hold a private cremation ceremony to celebrate her life.
