Brace age 76 of Brown City died December 24, 2018. He was born at home to Walter and Hazel (Huffman) Brace on March 3, 1942. Russell married Patricia Benjamin on March 4, 1961.

Russell worked at Pontiac Motors and retired in 1992. He enjoyed mowing the lawn, working with ceramics and being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed just going for a Sunday drive.

He is survived by his wife Patricia, 4 children; Annette (Tim) McCardle, Suzette (John) Ross, Edward (Cindy) Brace, Jeanette (David) Lewis, 11 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and nephews. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Helen Fraga and Dorothy Mahaffy. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Hazel Brace, 2 brothers Walter Brace Jr. and Richard Brace and 2 sisters June Hall and Sharon Hayward.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Carman Funeral Home. Visitation before the service Friday from 10:00 until 2:00. Burial will be in Christian Memorial Garden in Peck.
