Obituary for Russell C. “Russ” Abbott Print Mr. Russell C. “Russ” Abbott, age 64, of Whitesboro, NY, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at his home with his family at his side. He was born in the Bronx, on February 28, 1954, a son of the late Charles and Florence A. (Nazzaro) Abbott. Russell was raised and educated in Manhattan where he attended school.

At one time Russ held positions with Grand Union Supermarkets in New York City, Shop Rite in the Bronx and Price Chopper in South Utica. Surviving are his two sisters and a brother-in-law, Susan A. Abbott of Whitesboro and Josephine and Douglas Barry of Long Island; nieces and nephews, Lisa and Raymond Rondon of Whitesboro, Brandy and Jose Pagan of TX, William and Marilyn Abbott of New Hartford, Joseph and Mary Abbott of Clinton, and Jason and Sally Barry of Long Island. Also surviving are many great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a two brothers, Michael Abbott and Eddie Abbott; and a niece, Coloum Barry. In keeping with Russ’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adrean Funeral Service, Inc., 700 Rutger Street, Utica, NY 13501 (at the Matt Funeral Home).
