Obituary for Ruth Ann Koenig Ruth Ann Koenig, 76, of Wapakoneta, died 1:11 p.m., Fri. Dec. 14, 2018, at Mercy Health- St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.

She was born April 22, 1942, in St. Johns, OH, the daughter of Harold F. & Marietta M. (Ruppert) Kinstle, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 13, 1962, she married Kenneth P. “Kenny” Koenig, and he died July 18, 2007.

Survivors include, 2 sons, Jeffrey (Tina) Koenig, Mechanicsburg, PA, & John Koenig, Hilliard, OH, 2 grandchildren, Lucas & Sarah Koenig, siblings, Marilyn Wannemacher & Larry (Betty) Kinstle, both of Lima, and her four legged friend, Molly. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold “Whitey” Kinstle, Jr. and a brother-in-law, Melvin Wannemacher. A homemaker, Ruthie worked at Lee’s Chicken, Wapakoneta.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta. Her other memberships included the Women’s Auxiliary of Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #691 Auxiliary, and the V.F.W. Post #8445, both of Wapakoneta. Ruthie was full of life and delighted in poking fun at everyone.

She volunteered for several organizations including bingo at the Eagles for many years. She enjoyed watching sports especially college basketball, and would always pick the winner after the tournament was over. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Thurs.

Dec. 20, 2018, at St. John Catholic Church, Fryburg, OH, with Rev. Jarred Kohn officiating.

Burial is to follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive family and friends 2-8 p.m., Wed. Dec.

19, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, 1102 Lincoln Ave. (St. Rt. 501) Wapakoneta.
