She was born September 8, 1940 in Barling, Arkansas to the late Emmitt and Lottie (Shelton) Smith. She was proceded in death by four brothers Harold, Jack, Guy and Robert Smith.

She was a member of The St Boniface Catholic Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She is survived by her husband of30 years, John Emmons; two daughters, Carla and husband Monty Wilder, Carole Miller all of Saint Lois, Missouri; 2 grandsons, Brad Schmittof Hackett, Arkansas, Scott and wife Tori Schmitt of Barling, Arkansas and 9 nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be 1:00pm, Friday, January 25, 2019 at St Boniface Catholic Church, interment will follow at Fort Smith National Cemetery.

Family will greet friends and have viewing from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at Lewis Roberts Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, Arkansas. To leave an online tribute go to lewisfuneralchapel.net.
