Ruth M Burden, 87, of Jeffersonville passed away March 6, 2019 at Carriage Court Assisted Living & Memory Care. She was born December 12, 1931 to the late Edgar E and Nellie M. Dowler Robinson in Jeffersonville. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Dean Burden.

Ruth retired from the Washington Municipal Court System and was a Deputy Clerk and Probation officer. Ruth was a member of the Jeffersonville United Methodist Church, Former Secretary for the Jeffersonville Area Veterans Memorial Committee, Eagles Auxiliary, VFW Hardy Post 3762, Jeffersonville Alumni Association, Jeffersonville Community Association, Post 25 American Legion Auxiliary Corresponding Secretary. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Burden.

She is survived by a brother in law Earl Burden Jr. of Dublin, Nephew Eric (Linda) Burden of Dublin, a daughter-in-law Verla (James) Elliott of Wapokoneta and niece Regina (Eddie) Swanson of Delaware, numerous great nieces an nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11 :30 AM at the Morrow Funeral Home in Jeffersonville with Pastor Tom Knauff officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30AM until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Fayette County or the Jeffersonville United Methodist Church Arrangements are by Morrow Funeral Home in Jeffersonville. Online condolences can be sent to www.
