Ruth’s Obituary Ruth C. Lipyanic, 88 of Saylorsburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 in Chandler Estates in Plainfield Twp. She was the wife of the late Joseph Lipyanic who passed away in 2008. Born November 30, 1930 in Lansford, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Lena Foulk Gallagher.

Ruth was employed as a sewing machine operator for Scotty Fashions in Kunkletown until her retirement. She was a member of UNITE and St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish in Pen Argyl. Ruth will be sadly missed by a sister, Trish Klinger and her husband James of Summit Hill; two brothers, Lemuel Gallagher of Nesquehoning, and John Gallagher of Walnutport; sister-in-law, Janet Lipyanic of Wind Gap; goddaughter, Pamela Hoff of Saylorsburg; godson, James Klinger Jr. of Massachusetts; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by sisters, Mary, Peggy and Anne; and brothers, Hugh and Frances. Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Monday, May 20, 2019 from 10-11 am in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 300 W. Babbitt Ave. , Pen Argyl.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am in the church. Ruth will be laid to rest in St. Elizabeth’s Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home, 202 West Street, Wind Gap.
