OBITUARY Ruth Glatter March 1, 1925 – January 28, 2019 Ruth Glatter died Monday, January 28th, 2019 at the age of 93. Born in the Bronx, NY, she resided for most of her life in Long Branch. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and aunt and loved spending time with her family.

She grew up a block from the ocean and was an avid swimmer all of her life, until the age of 92. Ruth loved searching for “treasures” at garage sales and had her own business selling antiques and collectables at the Red Bank Antique Center. She was predeceased by her husband Charles and her two sisters Sylvia and Bernice.

Surviving are her daughters: Robin Glatter and Gene Glatter, her nieces and nephews: Dawn Smith-Altit and her daughter Alix, Amy and Bill Scerbo, Jay and Cindy Newberg and their son Kevin. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30AM at Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus. Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth’s name to the Monmouth County SPCA.
