Obituary for Ruth M. Higgins Kennedy Ruth M. (Higgins) Kennedy, 88, of Chillicothe, OH, formerly of North Huntingdon, died Saturday June 30, 2018. She was born August 11, 1929 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Alfred and Gladys B. (Witherow) Higgins and was also preceded in death by her husband James W. Kennedy and siblings Mary Jane Watkiss, Ellen Eastman, and William and Charles Higgins. She was a former cafeteria employee for Norwin School District and a former member of Calvary Assembly Church, North Huntingdon, where she was a pianist, choir member, and active with Women’s Ministries.

She is survived by her daughter Karyn R. Fallow of Chillicothe, OH; grandchildren Reed (Sarah) Fallow, Jonathan (Kimberly) Fallow and William Fallow; great grandchildren Thomas (Alisa), Matthew, Emily, Allison, and Hailey Fallow; siblings Lois Menzies of North Huntingdon and John (Faith) Higgins of NC; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Ronnie Gale, officiating.

Interment will follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. The family would like to thank the staff at Traditions Nursing Facility especially Kayla, Angie, Ruth, Trish, and Malisa for all the kind and loving care.
