She was born November 19, 1923 in Clearfield and was the daughter of the late Wallace O. and Minnie Catherine Maser Horner. She was the wife of the late Alfred M. Finney, who passed away October 24, 1984.

She was a former member of Calvary Methodist Church in McKeesport. Ruth was an amazing homemaker who lived her life by the book. She loved her boys, her grandchildren and her friends and family.

She is survived by two sons, Larry A. (Victoria) Finney of Upper St. Clair and Allan R. (Angela) Finney of Reading, grandchildren, Jennifer (Charles) Emery, Eric (LeAnn) Finney, Alyson (Jason Hayden) Finney, Laura (Todd) Sager, Alec Finney and Allie Finney, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Sister, Valora Smochko of Long Beach, CA, sister-in-law Madge Finney of Bentleyville, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. There is no visitation. Arrangements are by the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Twp.
